Apparently the Rakes are playing tonight at the Hoxton Bar & Kitchen. A message on their forum says this...

"the Address is Hoxton square. And the venue is Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen.
If yo say a password 'CASSETTE" then is just £3! other wise it's like £5 or £7 or something so i'd recommend ya do... think doors open around 8 and reckon we'll be on about 10.30."

I haven't seen the Rakes in far too long and this is quite a nice venue despite the Hoxton prices and frankly alarming hairstyles.

British Sea Power, Art Brut and Mando Diao are among the bands lined up to play “The Insomniacs Ball”, London's first ever all-night indoor festival in April at the multi-roomed SeOne Club.

"The Insomniacs Ball” kicks off the Easter Weekend on Thursday April 13th and will feature three live arenas, dozens of live bands and DJ’s, various different bars and lounges and two club rooms featuring XFM’s The Remix Eddy Temple Morris, Radio 1’s Mary Anne Hobbs, White Heat DJ’s underneath the arches at London Bridge. Doors will open at 8pm, when the live music begins, and the entertainment will continue until 6am the following morning – Good Friday.

“The Insomniacs Ball” will be British Sea Power's first gig since last year's sold-out UK tour, and other bands confirmed to appear at London’s 3,000-capacity SeOne venue include Battle, Dogs, Black Wire, Vincent Vincent and The Villains, The Pipettes and The Holloways. More names are expected to be added shortly
